When a non conductor, or imperfect conductor provided, is a thin plate of matter [...] upon a conductor, is brought in contact with an exited electrical body ; the surface [...] to that in contact, gain the opposite electricity from that of the exited body ; and if the plate be removed from the conductor and the source of electricity, it is found to possess two surfaces in supposite states.

Of the different conductors that have been compared, charcoal is most easily heated by [...] discharger, next iron platina gold, then copper and lastly zinc.

A wire of platina may be preserved in a plate of intense ignition in [...], by mean of voltaire apparaters for an unlimited time.

L'eau en se vaporisant rend négatives les surfaces qu'elle quitte.

Le soufre en se congélant devient fortement électrique.

Silver or copper when brought in contact with a solution of a composent of sulphur and potasse at one extremity, and in contact with water or a solution of [...], at the other extremity, [...] saline solution being between the sulphurated and the air solution, forms an element of a powerful combination which will give shock when tilly are put tohether.
